Worcester Wills & Estates Team raise over £2,000 for Charity

Thursfields’ Wills & Estates Team in Worcester have been busy raising an impressive £2,305 for Leukaemia CARE, a blood cancer charity based in Worcester.

Having raised funds for Leukaemia CARE through other events last year, the team at Thursfields again set about organising another ‘Make a Will Week’ in early Summer which proved to be very popular. This involved providing the option for clients to make a donation to the blood cancer charity when writing their Will, but the Will itself was provided for free by Thursfields.

Zoe Perry, Solicitor & Trust specialist at Thursfields said; “We admire the excellent work done by Leuakemia CARE, a charity on our doorstep in Worcester, and were more than happy to help raise funds again this year.”

After choosing to support Leukaemia CARE the Worcester team were determined to help as many clients as possible create new Wills or amend existing ones. In total, over 35 clients took part in the scheme raising vital funds for blood cancer patients and supporting the work of Leukaemia CARE.

Zoe added:, “We are thrilled that the hard work put in over the last few weeks has generated so much from the generous people of Worcester.”

Leukaemia CARE Fundraising Manager, Kevin Hateley, said: “It’s great news that Thursfields has kindly decided to raise more funds to help us support even more people affected by blood cancer.”

The money raised from the Wills Week will help the charity to continue to support people in Worcester and their families and sustain ongoing research into blood cancers.
