Our lawyers’ recent experience includes:

  • Acting for a partner in a professional practice with personal liability and responsibility for former office premises, on dilapidations during the last months of a lease; the possible value of dilapidations being in excess of £100,000. The matter is ongoing.
  • Acting for an individual client who had purchased property from a fraudster. The client was initially treated as being implicated in the fraud. This was not the case and our team successfully claimed and recovered substantial damages for our client, in addition to dealing with an application for rectification of the legal title at HMLR.
  • Acting for a developer of land who intended to build two large homes on a development site. The dispute concerns the boundary and damage caused by construction works. The matter is ongoing.
  • Acting for a client in a complex boundary dispute with multiple issues arising from a breach of covenant by a neighbour and nuisance and trespass caused by extensive ground works which undermined our client’s land.
  • Defending an application against a client in the Property Chamber of the Land Registration First-Tier Tribunal over property valued in excess of £750,000. The applicant had claimed that the transfer of the property to the respondent was invalid on the grounds that the transferor’s signature had been forged. Our team successfully defended the action and now await a decision on costs.
  • Advising a client in a personal capacity and a commercial capacity on a complex proprietary estoppel claim against a property developer following an agreement for payment in the form of property following completion of property works.
