Top lawyer joins Thursfields’ expanding Wills & Estates team in Worcester
Thursfields Solicitors has recruited a highly skilled lawyer to become Associate Director of its expanding Wills & Estates team in Worcester.
Ruth Baker joins the firm after spending seven years at Willans Solicitors in Cheltenham, where she was made a partner in June 2016. She was trained at Harrison Clark – now Harrison Clark Rickerbys – in Worcester.
Ruth has specialised in wills and estate planning, the administration of estates, the creation and administration of trusts, and powers of attorney, focusing on high net-worth clients with complex estates.
She has been featured as a respected lawyer in the Legal 500 and Chambers directories for several years, with one client saying “she knows her stuff, is articulate and has really good attention to detail,” and another client describing her as “efficient” and that she “gives excellent advice”.

Ruth, who grew up in Worcester and now lives just outside Cheltenham, said: “I’ve moved to Thursfields because I wanted both a new personal and professional challenge.

Ruth is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Law Society Private Client Section and a full member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE).
Ruth has joined Thursfields at the same time as Cerith Rees, a former professional rugby player, who has joined the company’s Wills & Estates team in Worcester as a solicitor from Bridger & Co in Llandovery.
