Thursfields Solicitors is holding a Big Tea Cosy Party at its Solihull office this Friday 16 March to raise funds for Breast Cancer Haven, West Midlands.
Local businesses are invited to join us for a cup of tea and cakes at the event between 11am and 1pm at Thursfields, 9 The Courtyard, Warwick Road, Solihull B91 3DA.
The event follows news that Thursfields is helping to fund Breast Cancer Haven’s ‘Fern’ therapy room at its new centre in Solihull.
Rob Pettigrew, commercial property director based at Thursfields’ Solihull office, said: “We’re getting the kettles on this Friday and are inviting staff from other local businesses to have a cuppa and a tasty cake or two with us.
It’s always good to meet with other businesses, but to do this in a way that makes money for such a great charity is something we’re really looking forward to.
The Breast Cancer Haven centre in Solihull is a much-needed new facility and this event will be one of many ways we’re raising funds to support them in providing such a great service to the local community.”
The Breast Cancer Haven’s ‘Fern’ therapy room is based at St Bernards Road, Solihull, and will be where healthcare professionals and therapists can provide support to women during and after breast cancer treatment.
The charity does this with tailored packages of emotional, physical and practical support including counselling, acupuncture and aromatherapy massage.
The Thursfields’ tea party will be one of many organised across the UK during March as part of The Big Tea Cosy fundraising campaign in support of Breast Cancer Haven.
Matthew Price, Corporate Fundraising Officer for Breast Cancer Haven, West Midlands, said: “We’re so grateful to Thursfields and the staff for running this event which will help us to support women with breast cancer to hold on to their individuality, confidence and strength.”
