Thursfields’ to host COVID-free webinar on employment and HR
A special COVID-free webinar focusing on the latest employment and HR issues is to be held by Thursfields Solicitors at the beginning of next month.
The law firm’s HR Exchange event is entitled “A break from COVID-19” and will take place via Zoom on Thursday 3 December from 10am to 11am.
The three senior Thursfields lawyers hosting the free event will be Helena Morrissey, director of the firm’s Employment & HR Law department, and associate directors Lisa Kemp and James Monk.
Helena said: “This is a great opportunity for people to join us for a COVID-free review of some of the key employment law cases of 2020, and we’ll take a sneak preview of employment developments on the horizon for 2021.
“With most of 2020 dominated by the pandemic, and all our news feeds overwhelmed by stories of furlough and lockdown, you’d be forgiven for thinking that ‘normal’ employment law has been put on hold.
“But you’d be wrong, and behind the COVID-19 headlines, some other interesting and quirky cases have emerged.
“For that reason, we’ve decided to take a short break from all things COVID and spend an hour in the weird and wonderful world of employment law and HR.”
