Thursfields strengthens Wills & Estates team with three appointments

Thursfields Solicitors has appointed three legal experts to help strengthen its Wills & Estates department across its Birmingham, Solihull and Kidderminster offices.

Laura Banks joins as a Senior Associate Solicitor from Anthony Collins Solicitors in Birmingham and Sharon Rowley as an Associate Chartered Legal Executive from Stephensons Solicitors in Brierley Hill, while Katie Morris has been appointed as a trainee solicitor.

Laura Banks, who is also a visiting lecturer at the Birmingham University of Law and works from Thursfields’ Birmingham and Solihull offices, said: “I’m thrilled to have joined the team at Thursfields.

This is an established law firm which is well-known for the excellent services it provides to clients and I wanted to be a part of its future growth.”

Sharon Rowley, who works at Thursfields’ Kidderminster office, said: “Thursfields is a forward-thinking company with a good reputation for quality work, and I was attracted to the firm after speaking with co-workers who I had worked with previously.”

Katie Morris, who will also be working at Thursfields’ Kidderminster office, first joined the company in September 2017 after studying law at the University of South Wales and the University of Law Birmingham, and began a training contract in March 2018.

She said: “I joined Thursfields because I liked their training programme after the company came into university to chat to potential candidates. I was also impressed with their values and felt I wanted to develop my career here.”

Sharon Oakley, Senior Associate Solicitor in Thursfields’ Wills & Estates team, said: “We’re delighted to have appointed Laura, Sharon and Katie who between them can represent the company at all levels.

“As Thursfields continues to grow its size and reputation across the Midlands it’s pleasing to see how we’re continuing to attract high-calibre lawyers.

The Wills & Estates department at Thursfields is now one of the region’s strongest with a dedicated team of experts who are determined help clients with the very best advice at what are often distressing times.”

The new trio are among several other appointments Thursfields has made in recent weeks, taking overall staff numbers to 155 at its eight offices in Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Kidderminster, Halesowen, Sedgley and Stourport-on-Severn.
