Thursfields Quiz raises funds to help the Stourport Mid Severn Sea Scouts

On the evening of 22 June 2018, Thursfields Stourport lawyers were out with their fundraising hats on, raising much needed funds for the Stourport Mid Severn Sea Scouts.

The scouts are raising funds to replace equipment that assist with taking the Cubs, Beavers and Scouts on trips and camps such as next weeks District Camp which will see 63 of the children attending for a weekend of camping, learning and fun! The scouts need to raise a total of £2500.00 and so are still welcoming local business to display their collection pots at checkouts and get involved with fun raising!

The evening was a great success, with Thursfields Managing Director Nick O’Hara attending to open the quiz, with over 75 adults attending plus scouts and other children! There were sweets and cake stalls, a silent raffle and of course the main feature a quiz. A total of £649.41 was raised on the night.

The quiz was held at Ombersley Golf Club who kindly donated the room hire as their contribution to the quiz and put on food for the children. Nick said “we welcome opportunities to support local projects that are at the heart of the communities surrounding the offices of Thursfields. It was a fantastic evening with a wonderful quiz that was well attended by local families and businesses brought together for one cause. I wish the scouts well on the camp next weekend and hope that the funds raised will assist in continuing to get children to thrive outdoors.”
