Thursfields lifts ‘High Growth’ trophy at Black Country awards

Thursfields Solicitors has won a top award that reflects the successful expansion of the business in recent years.

The Midlands law firm lifted the ‘High Growth Business of the Year’ trophy on Friday night [17 November] at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards 2017 watched by an audience of more than 400 people at Wolverhampton Racecourse.

Nick O’Hara, managing director of Thursfields, said: “We are delighted to have won the ‘High Growth’ award – the fourth trophy the company has lifted this year. This particular success acknowledges how we are not only one of the region’s longest established and reputable law firms, but that we are also constantly growing our presence across the region.

We now have more than 140 staff working in eight offices in Worcester, Kidderminster, Halesowen, Sedgley, Stourport-on-Severn, Solihull and Birmingham, all committed to providing clients with expert legal advice.”

An example of Thursfield’s expansion came earlier this year when it almost doubled the size of its Solihull office.

Nick added: “We have truly become the first choice for thousands of clients to provide a full range of legal services for businesses and the private individuals, including property, family, employment and commercial law as well as probate and litigation.”

Adrian Wright, president of Black Country Chamber of Commerce, congratulated Thursfields and said: “Celebrating local success stories like this highlights the strength of the region.”

Other awards scooped by Thursfields in 2017:

  • Lauren Hartigan-Pritchard was named best young solicitor in the Legal Section of the Birmingham Young Professional of the Year (BYPY) Awards.
