Kirsty Underhill, who is one of Thursfields’ recent intake of new legal assistants has been awarded LPC Student of the Year by the University of Law in Birmingham for her top exam results in the Legal Practice Course.
Kirsty completed the LPC at the University of Law in 2015, having graduated from Cardiff University in 2013 and achieved a distinction in the LPC with an overall average of 91%.
Kirsty, who is based in Thursfields’ Worcester office, joined the firm in September 2015 as part of its career development programme. Kirsty currently works as a Legal Assistant supporting the Corporate and Commercial team on a broad range of matters including mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances (including joint venture arrangements, investment agreements, shareholders’ agreements and partnership agreements), equity fundraisings, corporate reorganisations and commercial transactions.
Nick O’Hara, Managing Director at Thursfields, commented: “when we recruited Kirsty, we recognised that she has great potential, and this has been further shown in her excellent exam results, which have been recognised by the University of Law. It is a reflection of Thursfields growth and success that we are able to attract and recruit talented young lawyers like Kirsty into the firm.”
