Thursfields lawyer listed as a specialist in Certainty Contentious Probate Hub & Area

A top lawyer at Thursfields Solicitors has been listed as a specialist by Certainty the National Will Register – The Law Society’s endorsed provider of The National Will Register.

Katherine Ellis, a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution team in Thursfields’ Kidderminster office, has been announced as a specialist in the Certainty Contentious Probate Hub & Area.

Launched last year, it has quickly become a focal point for non-contentious solicitors and members of the public to source a Contentious Probate and Inheritance and Trust disputes specialist in their local area.

A spokesperson from Certainty the National Will Register, said: “Katherine has extensive experience in providing legal advice to individuals and charities and is now a listed specialist in the Certainty Contentious Probate Hub & Area.”

Katherine said: “I’m delighted to have been recognised by Certainty the National Will Register, which exists to help other solicitors and the general public who face issues with estates.

Whether you are writing a Will or in the unfortunate situation of distributing an estate, the services provided by Certainty the National Will Register helps protect you and your family.”

Before joining Thursfields, Katherine spent several years working in-house for a large national charity based in London, dealing with complex probate issues and contested legacy disputes.

She has wide experience of advising and assisting both individuals and charities on the full range of legacy disputes and probate claims, as well as claims for professional negligence on behalf of disappointed beneficiaries.

She supports charities with advice on their legal obligations and duties as part of the broader legacy administration process, which includes dealing with ex gratia requests and liaising with the Charity Commission.

Katherine added: “Certainty the National Will Register deals with hundreds of enquiries every day and are always on hand to assist. I’m pleased that both the Wills and Estate and Contested Estates teams at Thursfields are part of that specialist network.”
