Thursfields Junior Lawyers Committee

Following a period of growth within the firm, Thursfields is pleased to announce the launch of it’s own Junior Lawyer Committee (TJLC), made up of legal assistants and trainee solicitors across the firm.

The aim of TJLC is to work together to develop relationships with other junior members of staff across different offices to engage in business projects and to work with local charities in supporting the community with exciting fundraising events.

TJLC’s first charitable event was a Christmas themed “Great British Bake Off”. Employees across Thursfields’ offices competed to win the infamous star baker award, which was judged by our very own Paul Hollywood, Managing Director, Nick O’Hara. The baked creations were then sold and the cake sale raised a total of £367.47 for the Princes Trust Hereford and Worcester branch.

TJLC also held a charitable drive for the homeless before Christmas by inviting employees to bring in unwanted clothes and foods which were then taken to chosen local homeless charities; The Wyre Forest Night Stop, The Maggs Day Centre and Hope Into Action.

The 2016 calendar of events is currently being planned and we look forward to sharing the success of TJLC with you in the near future.
