Thursfields expands residential property team in Worcester

Thursfields Solicitors has appointed a new Solicitor for its expanding residential property team in Worcester.

Andrew Piggin joins from his previous job at Curzon Green Solicitors in High Wycombe, where he trained and then specialised in residential conveyancing and property law disputes.

It’s a return to the Midlands for Andrew who studied for his degree and postgraduate Legal Practice Course in Birmingham.

Alison Wacey, a Senior Associate Solicitor who leads the Residential Property team at Thursfields’s Worcester office, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Andrew after being impressed by his application and interview.

We liked the fact that he had moved to the Midlands and searched for what he felt was the best law firm in the area to apply to.

That initiative and the skills and experience Andrew revealed to us at interview makes what we think is a perfect match for our expanding team here in Worcester, where we’re sure he’ll quickly make his mark.”

Andrew, who now lives in Evesham, said he was attracted to Thursfields because of the strong presence the company has established across the region in recent years.

He said: “When I was invited for an interview, I knew as soon as I walked into reception that Thursfields was the right place for me.

It stands out as a law firm that is obviously ambitious to grow and I felt that moving to a regional firm with a number of different offices would be a positive step for my career.”

Outside of work, Andrew has a keen interest in photography and theatre technology and has kept up this hobby by being involved behind the scenes with a number of amateur theatre productions.

Clients instructing Thursfields Solicitors benefit from insurance to cover legal fees on all residential property purchases.

Thurfields’ Conveyancing team have recently been shortlisted for The LFS Regional Conveyancing Firm 2019 Award.
