Thursfields’ cross-qualifying success

10 years after embarking on a career specialising in commercial property, Thursfields’ Emma Hughes cross qualified this week from a Chartered Legal Executive to a Solicitor in Worcester’s Commercial Property team.

Emma previously worked within Worcestershire County Council’s legal services undertaking property work on behalf of the Council from the end of 2007 until joining Thursfields in April 2015.  Since then, she has established herself within the local market, with her professional, personable approach appealing to business and individual clients alike.

Her time at Thursfields has allowed her to build a portfolio of work advising on a wide variety of commercial property matters which enabled her to first qualify as a Legal Executive and then, in view of her experience, to qualify as a Solicitor.

Emma said “The team at Thursfields have been amazingly supportive. It’s been hard work but worth it and I’m proud to be a part of the expanding team here in Worcester.”

Tony Gibb, Head of the Commercial Property team, said “Congratulations are well deserved to Emma on a great achievement in cross qualifying whilst working. She has been and continues to be an asset to Thursfields and we are sure this success will long continue.”

Emma advises on both the sale and acquisition of commercial property and development sites, landlord and tenant matters, including acting for SIPP’s, developers, charities, sports and social clubs, community trusts and insolvency practitioners. Emma can be contacted at ehughes@thursfields.co.uk or on 01905 730450.
