Thursfields announces the appointment of Andrew Manning-Cox as its first non-executive Director

Andrew Manning-Cox, a Senior Litigation Partner who recently retired from Gowling WLG (formerly Wragge & Co) after a 40 year legal career, is a well-known figure in the business community in the West Midlands and has acted for many years for a large number of companies and organisations in the area.

With strong connections to Herefordshire and Worcestershire, where he also lives, Andrew is Chair of Hereford Enterprise Zone, and a non-executive director of the Marches LEP, Malvern Hills Science Park, and Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

He is delighted to accept a non-executive appointment with Thursfields which has offices across Worcestershire and the West Midlands.

Andrew said “I am impressed by Thursfields’ sustained growth in the West Midlands region over recent years. What stands out to me is the firm’s strong client service ethos and supportive culture for their people. I have a long and close affinity with the two counties and the wider Midlands region; I am really pleased that this new appointment will enable me to continue that connection, and support Thursfields and its clients to even greater success in exciting times for the region.”

Nick O’Hara, Thursfields’ Managing Director, said “We are really pleased to have attracted a talent such as Andrew to join our Board. His dedication to the growth of successful organisations in the two counties and further afield, nationally and internationally, speaks for itself. He will bring to his new role both strategic experience and expertise to support Thursfields’ ambitious growth plans, building on our considerable recent achievements which have been recognised in business awards such as Winner of High Growth Business of the Year at the Black Country Chamber Awards 2017.

This appointment demonstrates both our current market position and our ambitions for the future. The Board and I are greatly looking forward to working with Andrew.”
