Top corporate lawyer joins Thursfields’ Black Country office

Thursfields Solicitors has recruited a top corporate lawyer whose experience includes mergers and acquisitions to help strengthen its expanding Black Country team.

Philip Chapman joins Thursfields as a Director in its Corporate department after spending ten years with Wall James Chappell where he was a Partner and Head of Corporate, specialising in company re-structuring, cross border joint ventures, investment arrangements and shareholder agreements.

Philip trained at a large regional firm in Birmingham. He has a degree from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de La Rochelle in France and is a post-graduate from Cambridge University.

Philip is bi-lingual after previously living and working in France, is an appointed Notary Public and has been accredited as a mediator by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR).

Philip is one of several key appointments Thursfields has made in the first quarter of 2019, taking overall staff numbers to 155 at its eight offices in Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Kidderminster, Halesowen, Sedgley and Stourport-on-Severn.
