Skittles Success for St Richards
Thursday, 4th February saw 11 teams from businesses across Worcestershire compete in a charity skittles evening organised by Thursfields and hosted at the Berkeley, Spetchley.
The evening was in aid of the very deserving charity, St.Richards Hospice and was a chance to network informally whilst participate in some friendly competition.
The winning teams took away some aptly named bottles of beer, whilst those who came in last place took up the wooden spoon with some complimentary skittles sweeties as a softener. A raffle was also held, with an array of great prizes, again showing how generous local businesses are for this great charity.
Helen Hanson, Associate Solicitor and Zoe Perry, Trusts & Estates Solicitor, who organised the event from start to finish, admitted that it was hard work but worth it seeing how much people enjoyed the team bonding on the night.
Helen commented: “We are thrilled to have raised over £600 for the hospice and have had great fun achieving it! We have received lots of positive feedback about the evening and may look at starting it as an annual event… watch this space. Even the ‘flyaway skittle’ ankle injury has not put us off putting the pins up again for the second instalment next year!”
