Laura grew up in Birmingham, returning after university and law school in Nottingham so considers herself a true Midlander! Laura has always worked in Birmingham or the surrounding area, both as a solicitor and, for a period, as a Visiting Lecturer teaching on the legal postgraduate courses.

Laura specialises in advising individuals on lifetime strategic estate and Inheritance tax planning to include advising on and drafting Wills from the most simple to the more complicated ones with interconnecting trusts within them. Laura drafts, advises on and registers Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as administering estates through the probate process and providing advice on possible tax planning that can be undertaken in probates. She drafts and advises on English trusts and associated documentation to create them, modify their terms, appoint assets out and appoint and retire Trustees, together with providing accompanying tax advice.
Laura is a fully qualified STEP member, an active member of the STEP Birmingham branch committee and has been elected to sit on the STEP Worldwide Council from January 2019. Outside of work, Laura enjoys creative arts, theatre, travel, reading, running and pub walks, together with being Mum to two teenagers!
