Deborah joined Thursfields in 2016, having qualified as a solicitor in 2008. She trained with a local firm and had spent nearly ten years advising clients in the Black Country.
Deborah is recommended in the Legal 500 2019 Edition.
Deborah advises on all areas of Private Client law, but particularly enjoys drafting wills, lasting powers of attorney and giving tax advice.
She also deals with the administration of estates and the creation and administration of trusts. Roughly, she spends 35% of her work time advising in relation to and drafting wills, 20% advising in relation to and preparing lasting powers of attorney, 35% dealing with estates and estate administration and the remaining 10% dealing with other types of Private Client work.
Deborah’s main specialisations are Tax advice, specifically Inheritance Tax, but including Capital Gains Tax, advising high net worth clients and dealing with complex or unusual matters.
Deborah has a BA in English, Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course Diploma. She has been a full member of STEP since January 2011, having gained the STEP diploma in 2010. In her spare time she enjoys visits to the theatre and watching football and test cricket.
