Legal 500 ranking success for Thursfields

THURSFIELDS’ POSITION AS AN EMERGING REGIONAL LAW FIRM has been confirmed by its improved ranking in The Legal 500, the UK’s leading law guide.

For the first time, Thursfields has been awarded a ranking in two new specialisms, contentious trusts and probate and insolvency.  Thursfields has also consolidated its ranking in corporate and commercial, commercial litigation, family, employment, personal tax, trusts and probate, commercial property and property litigation.

The Legal 500 was particularly laudatory about one of its Corporate directors:

It stated: “The ‘approachable and collaborative’ Gareth Burge leads the team at Thursfields Solicitors, where recent highlights include advising CFI Group on the acquisition of Concept Furniture International. Consultant Stuart Price focuses on commercial work.”

Private Client Director, Shane Miller’s work in family law matters was also recognised:

“The team focuses on divorces and financial matters relating to relationship breakdowns. Shane Miller is a key contact.”

The Legal 500 goes on to mention  a number of Thursfields’ individual experts: Tracey Ashford, Lauren Hartigan-Pritchard, Tim Lawrence and Stuart Price.

The news reflects the firm’s continuing growth and success. Thursfields has an increasing number of solicitors, a broadening of its specialisms and more offices across the region. Recent acquisitions to its personnel include four new senior associate solicitors for its commercial services department.

In the last 12 months, the firm has also increased its geographical spread, with two new offices in Birmingham and Solihull.

Thursfields’ progress was recognised by the Birmingham Law Society earlier this year, when the awarding body presented it with The Law Firm of the Year Award 2016* at a ceremony in the city.

Reacting to the news of the firm’s ranking in the prestigious law guide, Thursfields’ managing director, Nick O’Hara says: “This year’s Legal 500 rankings provide excellent news for us. We’re particularly pleased that our specialist work in contentious trusts and probate and insolvency has been recognised. Our Firm’s overall growth is largely down to our expanding client base. We have continued to invest and add depth to our offering. This is particularly true of our commercial services.”
