Free consultations to help Worcestershire Ambassadors plan for the future

Thursfields Solicitors is offering free of charge consultations to help Worcestershire Ambassadors and their companies make plans for the future as we all navigate through COVID-19.

Nick O’Hara, the managing director of Thursfields, and Andrew Manning-Cox, a non-executive director of the company, will be offering the one hour-long virtual sessions for fellow Worcestershire Ambassadors to help inform plans, decision making and responses to legal issues which the pandemic has created.

Between them, Nick and Andrew have more than 75 years of business experience with in-depth knowledge of local markets and how economies have recovered from previous recessions.

Andrew retired as senior litigation partner in Gowling WLG in 2018 where he specialised in advising in strategic / bet-the-company disputes. Since then he has taken up a number of local roles including Chair of Sanctuary Group and Hereford Enterprise Zone, Skylon Park, a NED at Worcestershire County Cricket Club, in addition to being the first NED on the Thursfields’ Board. He also sits as an Arbitrator and Mediator, is a Notary Public, and mentors a number of companies and organisations in the county.

Nick, who has recently celebrated 41 years at Thursfields, said: “Every business has been affected by the recent pandemic, and every company leader will be thinking  seriously about how they need to adapt.

“Whether it’s making immediate plans for office down-sizing, considering completely virtual operations, taking advantage of acquisition or disposal opportunities, developing job roles or analysing potential redundancy situations, businesses will only survive and grow if they keep up with the changing marketplace and take advantage of the challenges thrown up by the “new normal”.
